History Room

This is the Society’s research room, situated in the Council Offices, Market Green. It contains the Society’s library (click here to see the index), its equipment and its physical archive of publications and exhibition displays, as well as laptops for exploring the Society’s digital archive of photos, etc., and local history books for sale. The room is still under development, particularly with regard to making it a place where visitors can see something of Cottingham’s history through visual displays. The room is usually open on a Tuesday afternoon from 2.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m. If you wish to visit it, please phone Barbara Rowe on 01482 847202 to make sure that someone is there to let you in.
